Crockpot Creamy Chicken Noodles
A comforting chicken noodle dish that is made just right in a slow cooker. It's great for a cozy dinner during the week or any time you want a hearty meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced carrots
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
In the slow cooker's bottom, put chicken breasts
Add chicken broth, onion, carrots, celery, garlic powder, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper to a bowl
Then mix in the cream of chicken soup
Pour the mix over the chicken in the slow cooker
Turn the heat to low and cover
Cook for 6 to 7 hours or 3 to 4 hours on high, until the chicken is soft and cooked all the way through
Follow the directions on the package to cook egg noodles until they are al dente, then drain them about 30 minutes before serving
Use two forks to shred chicken that has been cooked in a slow cooker
Add the heavy cream and cooked noodles and mix well
Cover and cook on high for 15 to 30 minutes more, until everything is hot and the flavors have blended
